State law requires that any individual who offers advice to help a client sell their house in return for a fee is required to hold a real estate license. Our FSBO Affiliates are marketing/advertising representatives who take pictures, gather information on the property, and manage website data only. We do not offer any advice related to:
1. Pricing a house
2. Staging a house
3. Making repairs
4. Contracts or paperwork
For that reason, we offer each client who requests advice an any of these areas an opportunity to speak with our local real estate professional (if available). They will provide information in these areas that are requested by our FSBO clients. We strictly enforce the rules of each state and do not allow our FSBO Affiliates to offer any type of real estate advice unless they are licensed with each state as a real estate professional.
It becomes very important to build a relationship with our local Realtor Affiliate so that we provide our clients the best customer service in the industry. Or FSBO competition utilizes only static websites and flat fee MLS listings that offer no advice to their clients. You will become a resource for all of our FSBO clients in your area and having a trusted relationship with our local Realtor Affiliate will provide you the tools needed to offer our clients the best service in the market. They will also forward to you clients who want to try the FSBO route before signing up for a full service MLS listing.
